Hey all, my name is Brandon, from Lafayette, IN.
I'm a Mr.Beer Brewer turned "real" Brewer.
I've done 4-5 batches through the Mr. Beer with good results and, as my typical science minded nature goes, I wanted to get into the more in depth and serious work. I have some real learning to do and am very excited about my new hobby.
I recieved a Deluxe brewing kit from Midwest and a Bourbon Barrel Ale Kit as a gift this christmas.
I figured I'd introduce myself and my favorite brews...
1. BBC Bourbon Barrel Stout
2. Sam Adams Winter Lager
3. Sierra Nevada IPA
I'm going to try to work on a Winter Lager clone based on what I've found here and elsewhere.
I'm also going to try to work up a spreadsheet to record and file away recipes for those of us who like to have tons of info and recipes even though we won't use them all.
I'm 26 and have been married for 7.5years, we recently (9/12) welcomed a baby girl, Brenly, into the world and she has been keeping us very busy.
I enjoy playing softball (We travel the state and play 150+ games through the year, even winter), shooting, hunting, and off roading.
