So recently I have had some major issues with batch infections. I brew sour beers, but I have separate equipment for that, and I keep it in a separate area of my basement. No matter that, it seems I've had some cross-contamination and all of my beers are going bretty. I clean and sanitize like crazy. I do use a plastic bucket for primary. Do I need to simply replace this bucket and continue brewing, or do I need to replace everything? I'm on a tight budget, so I would rather just replace the bucket (which is what I think is causing the trouble). Also, I use Star-San. Should I be looking at a stronger sanitizer, or perhaps using a stronger solution?

I am not sure what to do about equipment but if you can't regularly ventilate your basement (either through air con or opening windows) then I would remove any questionable equipment to a well ventilated area.
