Can someone suggest a grain to me that would help with a little red color for a rye PA that I'm brewing? The recipe already calls for 3lbs of Rye malt and 10oz of Crystal 60L. I'm looking for mainly color. At 12.32 SRM, I'd like it a little "redder".

Black malt would also work and taste less roasty. Or you could just add a bit more 60L to get to around 17 SRM. or you could use carared.

Mash your grains as the recipe calls for. Then sprinkle 2ish ounces of black barley onto the mash at sparging. If you batch sparge, put it in for the second round. If you fly sparge, sprinkle on the bed when you start draining to the boil kettle and then proceed as usual with your sparge.
