Jeez... I drilled my mini fridge and hit a cooling line. Now I need another fast - have 40 people coming here on Saturday!

I'm looking at Sanyo 4912 - but I dont know where I can safely drill it. I'm running remote taps, so need a 2" hole, preferably on the side near the top.

Anyone know where I can cut? Is there a better fridge choice? Help, Help!

Thanks

See if there is enough room out the bottom rear where the water drain thingy. I wouldnt drill in either side.... only the top dead center or door.

Top, dead-center for a tower - I've done it as have many others.

Not sure what, "remote taps" are? Are these just wall mount shanks/taps? If so, I'd put them through the door. I have disassembled the door as well during my build process and there is nothing in the door except insulation...

For a quick fix, just throw the kegs in the fridge with party taps?

If you have to drill somewhere you aren't sure of:

CAREFULLY drill through the sheet metal using little pressure and a low speed.
Use a long screwdriver to chip/move the insulation out of the way to check if
there are any refrig lines in the way.
Continue on through if it's clear, if it's not, hopefully you used a small enough
dril bit to move over enough, otherwise get something at the hardware to
fill the hole.

Easy!
