I didn't realize when I purchased my specialty grains from AHS that it doesn't come with a muslim bag. I just started my steeping water when I realized this. Is there anything else I can use in place of this? Pantyhose? Anything else? Thanks!

Got any cheese cloth? If all else fails you could just toss the grains in the steep then use a fine strainer to strain them out later.

Or you can steep in a small pot, and then use a colander (steel mesh) to strain the steeped liquid into the BK.

Don't have any cheese cloth but I have a grocery store just a mile down the road. The nearest LHBS is 20 minutes away.

nylon panty hose are fine... or you can run to your local hardware store and pick up a nylon paint strainer bag for a couple bucks.

They probably have it. Go get some and make your own 'bag'. Or just use a mesh strainer.

You can always try a Catholic or Jewish bag. Available at your LCOS (Local Church Or Synagogue) :D
