I have never bottled more than a few bottles that were extra with carb drops. I am getting ready to bottle a batch of Abbey ale that I brewed in September. After six weeks in the primary with all sugar additions added, I transferred it to a keg as a secondary. I was going to serve it from keg but decided to bottle. My questions are- How much corn sugar for 5 gal of this type of beer? Should I add more yeast(beer in secondary for 4-5 months)? What type( I have a scottish ale yeast on the stirplate, high alcohol tolerance)? How much yeast( Just a bit of my starter for my scotch ale)? If I pump a little CO2 can I just fill with a QD, some hose, and a bottle filler( or should I put a picnic tap on a QD and attach filler to tap)? Any help would be great. Thanks
