I signed up a while ago but never have had the time to really get going on your forums. I have a house in Canby, Oregon, which is about 40 minutes south of Portland. I have been brewing for only about a year. I haven't had an opportunity to do as much as I wanted. I wont be able to add much for a while because I took a job for the next two years over here in Shanghai, China. I have been very busy but have started to find more time to do things I love. I will be back, however, in November of 2009. I hope you guys don't mind me hanging around and asking questions. I really like brewing! Beers that I have brewed and really like are America Bitters and Amber Ales including a very simple Fat Tire clone. Here in Shanghai, there are very few good beers. There are two Rogue Brewing varieties here but they taste like they have been on the shelf for a while. Still better than nothing. They aslo have Strongbow Cider and a Porter-ish beer called Kilkenny that I really like!!! I look forward to learning all kinds of new things from you guys!! Balou :mug:

Oh okay, we'll let you hang around! We have another brewer who is attempting to brew in China. I can't remember is circumstances but he was having a devil of a time finding ingredients.

On the upside, there are a couple brewer in your area in Oregon. When you get home you might be able to tap into their knowledge on a local level. Meanwhile, you can live vicariously through HBT.

Welcome and hope to see you around the boards!

Heck I joined in December of 2005, but did not brew my first batch until July of 2007!
