New member here, & new to home brewing, but have been reading prolly for about 2 months. Someone I work with turned me on to the subject so I have been reading, watching and studying the whole process of brewing for the last 2 months. With that said I will be receiving my "kit" I order from Austin HomeBrew. I say my kit because I didn't order one of their premade kits, I put together my own, cutting out some of the stuff the I already have or made at home. I decided to go straight to AG, and put together a recipe using BeerSmith for and Irish Red ale.

5 gallon batch:
9# 2-Row
1# Caramunich
.5# Honey Malt
.5# Special B
.5# Crystal 60L
1oz Fuggle (60 mins)
1oz Cascade (20 mins)
1 - White Labs Irish Ale WLP004 (gonna try my with homemade starter plate)

I will update on my progress. Any suggestions, comments, & questions welcomed.

Cheers!:mug:
