Hi, My name is Chad Quantrell and I live in Washington State. I'm doing some research so hopefully I can get some decent equipment ordered and start Brewing, any advice on which equipment or kits I should get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chad

Welcome! Do a search for 'Starter Kit' on here and you should get lots of info.

If you can, get a starter kit from your LHBS (local home brew store) they can answer the numerous questions you are bound to have. The only thing I would add to a starter kit is an auto siphon (for transferring to secondary and bottling bucket).

Good Luck and we're here to answer your questions. :mug:

I'm not much for plastic fermenters, but that is a whole nother thread. I would recommend a glass carboy or two if you can afford it, a bottling bucket, an auto siphone, air lock, and bungs (HA-HA I said bung), 4' tube, a capper, a blow off tube, Bottle filler W/ a valve, and a good book for starters (The joy of home brewing by Charlie Papazian the first 50 pages should get you started)
That will get you started.....

Welcome to the forum!!!!:mug:

Hey quantrellc,
I envy you for how close you are to Walking Man in Stevenson. Welcome to the forum. Your best bet for a LHBS is probably Vancouver or Portland I would Imagine? As Wolf said, go ahead and do a seach for starter kits and you should find the info you need. if you have any questions along the way, please feel free to ask. There are a lot of folks on this sight that can provide a wealth of knowledge.
