I have been brewing for about a year. Each batch has been an experiment but that is a great way to learn fast. I like cooking on gas outdoors. I like the aroma it produces and the caramel flavor of the charred LME on the bottom of the kettle. I have used mostly extract due to shelf life. I want to keep the expense low and find a reasonably easy way to produce a consistent batch of ale or lager when the urge strikes. Looking forward to learning much more in the future. Thanks,

Shouldn't be charring lme on the bottom. If not already, you'll be tasting a nasty burned ash in your beer soon. Anyway, welcome.
