really new to home brewing and looking forward to my first batch this weekend. Wish me luck!

welcome to the forum; it is an essential resource as there is a ton of experience here. I am just finishing up a week in Seattle visiting my daughter; many most awesome craft brewers and multiple tap beer bars in your wonderful city! Highlights have been the Black Raven, Beveridge, the Tap House, and even had a delicious bourbon barrel Belgian Tripple at the Rock Bottom downtown. I will be back!

Welcome from Tacoma. I'm new as well. Unfortunately Uncle B is sending me to Cali for a month and I will have to put off my first brew until April.

More love for beer is one thing that keeps me in this area, i love the home brew mentality and embrace of the spirit in Seattle. You hit all of the good spots on your visit, the tap house is a required visit.

Things are going great! Onto batch 6 really hitting my stride and getting ready to do an equipment upgrade and start to move into AG and full boil extract brewing.

Hooked up with a great LHBS and joined a brewing club. However, due to scheduling issues I have not made it a meeting yet.
