Hello all. I've been homebrewing for about a year and a half now, learned a lot lurking on these forums. Every time I Google something about beer (most recently advice on kettles) I usually wind up here, so figured I may as well stop lurking and start talking.
Got a maibock lagering in the basement, one week to go before I bottle. And going to crack open a summer berry wheat tonight for the first time, bottled it about a week ago.
Kettle advice was because I'm finally going to get into all-grain brewing. Made my mash tun two weeks ago using a cooler and braid, and ordered a 15-gallon Spike kettle last night. I'm running low on porter, so that may be my first AG attempt; but I also want to get an Oktoberfest in the pot some time in July to it will be lagered by mid-September.
