Hello from Nebraska!

I just got my first brewing equipment this month as a gift from the wife and threw my first batch in my primary yesterday! It started fermenting pretty much immediately so I was really happy with that but it threw the sanitizer out of the airlock overnight so I switched it over to a blow off hose and it's bubbling away. Really excited about my first batch and eager to learn all there is about brewing and to one day contribute to this great community!

Hey, cool! I'm a newbie to homebrew and eager to learn. I could use some local brew club recommendations if you have any. I'm just south of you in bellevue.

Welcome immerzen from another fellow home brewer here in the Omaha area. What kit did the wife get ya? There are a couple local places to buy equipment and ingredients from that isn't too far of a drive from Bellevue. Good luck with the first brew.

She got me the deluxe starter kit with big mouth bubbler from northern brewer. Also threw in a hydrometer, which I proceeded to break on brew day before I got a reading... Thanks for the luck!
