Hello,
My name is Randy and I'm new to Home Brewing. I just brewed my second Batch one week ago. I have much to learn and hope you guy's, and ladys can help.
Thanks,
Randy :tank:

Welcome from another transplant from MKE. I miss many things but the weather. Back to summerfest next year though damn it! ( I keep saying that annually).

Welcome Randy...from a non-cheesehead. I can sympathize with you on the cold tho...it's a frigid 81 here today. :D

Next Tuesday at about 0300 hours . . . think thats when Miller starts their next batch. We'll move in and just as they go to cut their batch we'll take over the brewery and then the mayhem begins :mug:

FdL here-Count me in! Hey all you ex cheeseheads what part of the state did you come from? And what did we do to piss you off and make you leave?

rhalko,

Not a cheesehead, I'm from Michigan, the SWMBO has friends in Milwaukee and we went to the Riverfest last year-lots of fun. I'd have to say that Pat McCurdy was the best part of Riverfest and the Miller tour was pretty sweet. You ever make it up to Oshkosh for the airshow? I plan on attending sometime soon.

Welcome to the forums I've been helped alot by the guys here.

I came from Milwaukee; Waukesha and Menomonee Falls specific.

Weather is what kicked me out of WI. Well today I feel like I'm brewing in WI. It's 50, cloudy and windy. It sucks and yes I am officially a WIMP now!!!

ROFLMAO

Last batch I made it was 28degrees, with 25 MPH winds and snowing . . . had a 4-5 hour boil in my garage. I cant wait for 50's, I'll break out the shorts, jump on the motorcycle, and head to the LHBS to get some grain for the next batch :D

I bow to your resilience to battle the elements .

Now it's friggen raining; what next snow? I'm closing the garage door. 'bout as wimpy as this guy :ban:

Ya know, I live 15 minutes from EAA and have only been to the show once- And I have a pilot's license! The planes buzz my house every year, though, and I go to the EAA museum once in a while- that's always cool.

I came form the Waupaca area, my Mom currently lives in Milwaukee though, right at the lake, near Brady St., the art museum, etc. Cool area.

The military took me away. Plan is to go back to western Wisconsin at some point, but got a ways to go yet before that happens.

Hi Randy,

Welcome! This is a great forum. It's nice to see yet another cheesehead around here.

Two good things about all of you transplants leaving:

1. It leaves more beer here for those of us who are left.

2. It keeps beer-drinking alive in other parts of the country (without you, everyone where you live would probably be drinking white zin or something).

Oh, and I thought of another one:

3. The more of you who move to warmer climes only increases the chances that there will be someone we know that we can stay with when we come there next February!

Ahhh, Milwaukee, birth place of my beloved Dyna Wide Glide!

Wow you're the first brit that I have ever heard say a good thing about a HD. While I would rather have a old norton or vincent black knight. I love old motorcycles. But the next bike I buy is a HD.

I know HD's have a bad rap on reliability (unjustified IMHO), but I think they're great bikes. Solid, powerful, shiny, cool looking, cool sounding, and above all they don't temp you into speeding around like a lunatic, which inevitably leads to death or serious injury on Britain's crowded roads.

I just love to cruise around the New Forest (when the weather is good of course!;))
