Hello everyone my name is Eddie and I'm a long time reader of the forums and decided to make an account finally and start posting.
A little background on me and how I got into home brewing: My dad use to home brew when I was growing up and when I was able to buy a home brewing kit, about 6 years ago, I started brewing and became obsessed once I realized how applicable the topics I was learning as an undergrad were to my new hobby. I received my undergraduate degree in biochemistry and my master's this past Spring in cellular and molecular biology with both degrees' terminal theses having to do with yeast genetics of brewing yeasts. I may go back to finish my PhD in the next year or two because I am absolutely obsessed with any science involving beer and actively conduct various personal research projects on beers.
I wanted to get more active in the home brewing community to maybe share some insight I've gained from the experiments I've conducted, to make connections and to share the personal research I have done and am currently preparing to do with anyone that might find it useful.
I look forward to engaging with you all on the forums and sharing my projects with you.
Eddie
