Hello all,

Wife got me a trip to a LHBS (Flying Barrel) to do an intro to brewing session. Had such a good time that I took it up as a hobby. I recently joined my local home brew club. I've been lurking in the recipe section since this summer and having received approval for a keg system I figured it's time to stop lurking and step into the light.

Check out your local breweries. I believe Olde Mother is near you and they should be good folks for you to meet/talk to.

Olde Mother is my usual drinking hole. The guys there are really informative.

Congrats and welcome to the rabbit hole! Isn't Flying Dog in your neck of the woods? I've been there once on my way home (NY) from Bethesda, MD. They might me another place to check out if you haven't already and speak to some of the brewers there, if possible.

Congrats on the approval for a kegging system! I love having kegs, but I find I use my Last Straw a lot when I bottle some brews to take to my HBC meetings. I bottle extra to easily give away to friends and family.
