Hello from eastern Iowa

Hi guys, just joined the forum this morning. I've been reading about brewing for about 6 months, finally decided I knew enough to be dangerous so got a kit and tried it. Last night I just opened the first bottle of red ale that my son and I brewed. We were both surprised how good it was. I guess all that research paid off or I just got lucky. Anyway glad to be a part of the forum.

Cool! Iowa is finally on board. I've been lurking but have posted a couple of times. Been brewing since March. Located in Fort Madison/Burlington area in SE IA.
