This is my first post on HBT so I thought I'd use it to say hi
I'm Billy
From East London
I've always wanted to give home brewing a go and about a month or so ago I put it into action
I bought a 5 gallon kettle (stainless steel cooking pot)
A 3.5 gallon fermenting bucket
And a 2 gallon pressure barrel
Autosyphon
Biab bag
Hydrometer
And a 11ltr all grain kit
My first brew didn't seem to go very well as it stared to smell like vinegar and had lots of floaty chunks in so I binned it and did a session pale ale extraxt kit which did come with some grain so partial mash I suppose
Anywho
This batch has been sitting in the corner of my living room at a stable 20c (68f) for 48 hours and smells great so I'm very hopeful
I have a question which I'll make another post in the beginners section or whichever seems appropriate
Can't wait to get learning from other users on here and hope one day I'll be passing my own knowledge and views
