New brewer here-3 extract batches thus far. First was a miserable failure, second was surprisingly good and the third should be ready right around the time a certain football game kicks off this Sunday. Caught the bug after reading The Complete Joy of Homebrewing about a year ago and FINALLY made the commitment to start brewing (Basically that means my wife let me buy toys). Added a little bit of equipment along the way at each batch, using a 5 gal bucket, 5 gal glass carboy (secondary), 5 gal bottling bucket. I did pick up a wort chiller for batch 2 and a stir plate for a starter for batch 3. Looking forward to going all grain but not for at least another 7 extract batches. Learned a lot so far and this site has really given me some great info so I thought I'd join and get a little more involved.
