Hi, I recently started homebrewing with a couple of other friends here in Korea. We are all English teachers who love craft beer, but the Korean selection is limited and way overpriced. We've only done one extract-only batch but we have all the equipment to do all-grain and are excited to be forming some recipes and trying some things out.

Korea has a limited yeast selection, there's no Wyeast supplier at all, and white labs stuff is very limited so we are forming our grain builds based on the yeasts that we can source and that will work around the current weather and what not.

Cheers from the ROK!

Great to hear from home brew family members across the pond, or halfway around the Earth. Is sourcing malt extracts difficult? Is it really expensive? Have you considered using what is local? How is your access to corn, or rice, or things like molasses? I do see you were discussing all grain, and I wish all of you the best. My wife teaches ESL, and I am going back to school to become a substitute teacher.
