Just ran across a YouTube video on bottling from kegs 'on the cheap' and saw a reference to your website. I am on my 5th batch of beer, 1 Stout, 2 extra Stouts, 1 Honey Lager, and just bottled a Cream Ale. I tend to like heavier beers with higher alcohol content. I tend to do extract brewing, using plastic buckets and just recently upgraded from screw top plastic to glass bottles. Each batch I upgrade a step or two with carboys being next.

Always looking for info, tips, and ideas to make a better beer. I am particularly interested in equipment ideas. I gave Honey Lager as Xmas gifts to my son, son-in-law, and brother-in-law. At 2 parties I am told no other beer was touched, even another home brew, until the Honey Lager ran out.

Tks,
MR

Shoot, sounds to me that if everyone was going after your beer first that you don't need too many tips or ideas. As far as upgrading equipment, welcome to the club. I keep getting things not because I need them but because I'm obsessed with this hobby. I think it is Orfy, one of our moderators, that keeps using the K.I.S.S. acronym. I should've followed his advice and kept it simple; would've been a lot cheaper and very likely less work. Welcome aboard.

Welcome!

Is there a good home brew shop in Castle Rock, or do you come up to Denver for supplies? I'm in Littleton, by the way.

Hello I live in Colorado Springs and was looking for some other people from the area to share some tips with. Is there a place in Denver or colorado springs area that is like the toys r' us of home brewing? Any info would be great. Also any tips on how well hops grows in this area. NE1 have extra brewing equipment that they want to sell. Let me know. Mr.TC

If you are in Colorado Springs, I like "MY HOME BREW" on the east end of town off of Hwy 24. Down Town, I like Old West Home Brew.
In Denver area, I have yet to find a store that can beat "THE BREW HUT" for price on glass. Case of Bottles <$9.00 and 5 gallon Glass Carboys for under $20.00. And All 3 Have great selections of grain.

Welcome to HBT MR! :mug:

The best equipment idea I have for you is to start kegging. I loved home brewing before but I love it even more now that I don't have to bottle.

Oh, I shop at The Brew Hut. Great store with awesome people. They also have a small brew pub in the back!
