This forum has made my life so much easier. Thank you to everyone on here. I look forward to participating in this community. Cheers! :mug:

Hey I'm not far from you in Moon Township. I used to visit that back door tavern when I worked over that way! Are you new to brewing or just the forum? I have been at it for about two years now, very addictive! Dave

Hey, my wife's aunt's family owns the BDT, and I'm there quite a bit! I extract brewed with a friend for a year or so and now have my own set-up at home. I'm going to be brewing my first AG batch this week. Can't wait!

Married into a family that owns a bar, that is great! Why didn't I think of that! Pretty cool place. So you have an all grain set up, wow. I'm still doing extract. Don't know if I will ever have the room where I presently live to have an all grain set up. Let me know how it goes. Would love to see an all grain brew too.

Hello and welcome from pretty much the exact opposite side of the state... Luzerne County resident here however I work in Monroe County which is on the PA/NJ border. This forum is great, i've joined a few weeks ago and already used many of the resources and opinions ive found!

Great to hear from both "yinz". And dhathazy, all grain set ups don't require much room at all! I built my own mash tun and just did the research myself. There's even some solid videos on youtube showing the entire process. Let me know if you need any resources!:mug:

Nice to see fellow Pittsburghers brewing! I'm from the opposite side of the city, in Westmoreland county.

whats up guys. I'm from Robinson twp. just out side of Pittsburgh. glad to see we have a lot of home brewers around. you guys have any good supply shops i might not know about? i always use the guys in green tree but it would be nice to find a place open on Sundays.

Hey Sean, I'm right next to you in Moon. And I work in Greentree so I do visit the supply shop there frequently also. The other places I am aware of "locally" are in Oakmont and Portersville (Ruffled Brewing Supplies and Porter Hous Brew Shop) and I don't think either one is open Sunday either. I also order from a couple online shops (Austin Home Brew and Northern Brewer) both of which I have had good luck with.

Looks like we have a lot of "yinzers" brewing out there!

RoKozak, I would really like to see your set up some time if you wouldn't mind. I would like to get to AG eventually some day!

I go to Porter House Brew Shop and use some online sources as well. I'll be posting pictures (hopefully) of my first AG batch along with the set-up. Can't wait to start this thing!
