What's up everyone?
I am new to homebrewing. I got a Brewer's Best Deluxe Equipment kit for Xmas and I had a 5 gallon glass carboy sitting around the house...so I can do 2 batches at once thus far (the kit had a carboy in it as well). I just started my fourth batch. Here is what I have brewed so far...
1) Dry-hopped Porter...good for first time brewing
2) Cascade Imperial Pale Ale...awesome
3) Organic Honey ESB...dry-hopping
4) Kiwit...fermenting very strongly...smells very Belgian
I am pleased with my results at this point but I am looking to have more control over the grain bill/flavor and am hoping to move onto all-grain brewing here soon. Extract brews are good, but they all seem to have a thinned-out taste versus all-grain beers. I have the cooler...I just need to construct my braid for mashing/lautering. Until then I will stick to steeping/partial-mash batches. However, I am happy to be a part of this forum as I look for advice and answers to my questions since I am still new to this. I will load pics as soon as I can. I see myself brewing as long as I can. I have actually gotten several people to start brewing themselves since I started...everyone loves a good homebrew!
