That element is 220V 9amps. Why do you want to use that element? If you are going through the trouble of using 220V why not use a 5500W (25 amps) element?

I'm using 2 for 5-10gal batches. I'm asking more about converting to 220V. I could potentially use something like this with similar results.

But I would still need to have a 220V power supply. I'm having trouble finding elements that operate at 110V, doesn't seem to be the worldwide standard.

Try searching for a 120v water heating element.... not 110v. lots of them on ebay

Brewing 5-10 Gal batches I would go with 220V elements. You can do it with two 120V 1500W elements on two different circuits. I just went through the conversion to electric. If you want you can give me a call and I can walk you through what you will need to do.

^ I agree 220 will be much quicker....4500w 220 elements draw 18.2 amps max.... 5500w are 23a keep this in mind when making decisions on wiring.. I use 4500w and they are quick even with 12 gallons of liquid.
