Anyone ever have issues with uneven heating of the mash using a RIMS/HERMS system? I heat the mash tun and run the circulating wort through a copper line in the HWT. It dumps right into the mash, but I have to stir to distribute the heat. My homebrew store recommended throwing a half pound of rice hulls. Any suggestions or thoughts would be much appreciated!
