Hardwood floor question

I have a small section of hard wood floor in the entrance of my house, about 4x9. I decided to sand Down the floor and redo it cuz it was in pretty bad shape and not level.

I rented the machines I needed, sanded everything down and it looks great, only problem is that when I pass my hand there is dips in some places. I'm work in a body shop for a living and am used to sanding down to a very smooth and straight surface, so I don't know if it's cuz I'm used to that or if these dips or low spots will stick out once I get my varathane on. I was thinking of changing my gloss finish for z satin finish to help hide the defects.

Anyone here work in flooring or know anything about this?

There are finishes that fill everything in level. Then you "sand" it again with a screen and apply final finish.

i already bought my finish, its the varathane nano defense, i dont know if thats self leveling or not.

What type of wood you have used for flooring? Use grit to smooth it according to the type of wood material.
