Hey, I am going campin next week, and my I want to put beer into some containers to take with me. Everything that is bottled is not ready, but my dunkel will be ready, which is on tap. I have come up with the idea to use 2 liter (plastic soda) bottles and a glass Captain Morgan handle with screw on caps. This should work just fine right? I would (of course) clean and sanitize them prior to filling.

This shouls be ok right out of my keezer faucet right?

Well, I wouldn't have that in time to go camping.Am I am ok with just fulling straight from the tap right and then throwing a cap on it?(given that my keg is carbonated properly)

i did something similar for the super bowl. The beer was a little flat, but not too bad. The beer strait out of the keg was better. Another option is the BMBF. What ever you do i recommend chilling the container first, and turning down the dispensing pressure on the keg to prevent instant release of the CO2

Grab a trash barrel, some ice, and bring the whole keg! If you build a bottle filler, you'll need a picnic tap and lines anyways. :rockin:

The soda bottle/Capt'n bottle will work fine, but it'll be flat like a growler <24hrs after reopening. I personally wouldn't bring more than I'd drink in 1-2 days using that method.

I've brought Growlers to parties no problem. Like was previously mentioned, once it is opened you've got 1-2 days tops to drink up.

At the rate of what I drink, I am bringing 3 different vessels. I will be gone for 3 days. That should be plenty for me, and I will only open one at a time.

Thanks!
