Picked up our grain tonight. Went well...one bag was tore open and grain was spilling out all over the floor. The guy at the shop (Doug?) had already taped it up for us...nice guy. Show them some love if you can. One of their grain mills was broken so my buddy offered to take it home and fix it for them...he is taking it back tomorrow.

Thanks again to KeepItCold for organizing the buy. Looking forward to the next one.

No problem hope we can do this again soon

Sure did. I took a pound or two less than my share of the oat. Not sure I know what to do with the amount I have!

Safe keeping. Hey did you see what bag tore open?

Picked up grain today. Thanks for putting it together!

Keepitcold: your bag is split. The full sack was a shade light so I adjusted accordingly. (like .75lb short, nothing huge)

Call NCM and let them know that it was tore open when it was delivered, they will get one out to you that isn't ripped.

Got my grain today, and some extract in case I need a quick brewday to keep the pipeline running.

And it looks like I've got a new LHBS! Thanks again, and I'm looking forward to the next one. :mug:

The grain isn't milled, correct? I have to find time today or tomorrow to pick it up.

No it isn't please pick up today to free up room for the people hosting

Been busy and not in the best of health but I will make a new post soon

Might be interested in splitting a bag of something or another; might just want to wait until next round.

Either way, hope you're feeling better soon!

I would like to get in for at least 2 sacks if there is a repeat.
I have been watching these threads pretty close since I missed the 1st round and the CT buy.
The recent bumps here pushed me to register anyway.
I'm not much for driving around NYC or hopping a train with 100+ lbs of grain, but where there is a will there is a way.

hey Poster,

I can do 3-4 as well, I am also from Stamford. PM me and we can coordinate pickup if this goes through. I think the last pick up was in Brooklyn, which is much better than middle of Ct. I know a few others from Fairfield County that will join a group buy.

Sent a pm. I'm up for 1 or 2 sacks. I'm also in the middle of long island if anyone needs help with the pick up or distribution.

Maybe the folks handling the buy should start a new thread or maybe Keepitcold can update the 1st post to let everyone know this is open again.
