New to the brewing scene, but already in love with all of it. I"m not sure what if any joy comes from the result of watching a air lock bubble, but I do it none the less.
Currently brewing a batch of California Zinfendel, I have to bottle next weekend. Cant see through it cause of the color. I'm hopeing that it is crystal clear. I followed the instructions to the tea, with the exception of adding corn sugar for a higher ABV.
Also is a home made recipe for Raspberry Mead. I made this up completly on my own. I was half in the bag when I started it, and contacted my local home brew supply store for assistance with chemicals etc.
I also have a batch of Carrot wine going. This will be only a 2 gallon batch. but it is showing terrific results during the fermentation process. I started out with a specific Gravity of 1.122! holy snikey's. Currently sitting at 1.112 after 2 days of fermentation. I used Lalvin EC-1116 yeast, This is going to be strong stuff.
I have been researching Cider brewing for the last week, and plan to go with the Caramel hard cider recipe listed in the cider forum. Looks like fun and sounds delicious! excited to get another batch going. The more the merrier!!!
