Hello all,

New brewer here. I've been wanting to do this for some time now. A recent deal on Woot.com got me into a Mr Beer kit for much cheaper than the store wanted. I got permission from SWMBO so here I am!

I have my first set of ingrediants all set and ready to go, along with all the gear (I think) I'll need to successfully brew my first batch. I have room set aside for my fermenter and a 2 1/2 gallon jug of spring water in the fridge.

Now all I need a is an hour so on a quiet evening and I shall make beer!

Welcome. You might need to find a couple extra hours while you are looking around.:D - Jeff

Hi Bill and Jeff... sorry I never looked back at this before!

No, I used to work at a truck parts store whose initials were CB and my name is Mike so a few of my customers started calling me CB Mike. Waaaaay back when I created my first AOL account CBMike was taken so I went with cbmikey. It's stuck ever since.

I started with the included WCPA. I tasted it all throughout the brewing process. By the time I got to my last bottle (which had 3 weeks in primary, 2 weeks carbing, 2 weeks warm conditioning and 3 weeks cold conditioning) it was nicely carb'd and a decent kick but it was flavorless. I've been told and I'm guessing that was due to the crappy Booster.

2 weeks ago this Thursday I brewed a batch of MB cider. I'm leaving for Las Vegas this next Monday so I'll be bottling before this weekend and it'll have a good 1 1/2 weeks of carb time by the time I get back. We'll see how it goes from there!
