Hello everyone. My name's Caleb; I'm married, and have 2 little boys [3 years old and 1 year old], and we live in St. Louis, MO [GO CARDS!]

I'm completely new to homebrewing; I brewed my first 5-gallon batch last Saturday, an extract kit from Midwest Brewing called Autumn Ale. I'm learning a lot just from reading posts on here. Thanks for the resources!!!

Welcome to the forum. I'm in saint louis also, in the saint charles area though. There are some great local clubs that you gotta check out. Stlbrews.com is one and garagebrewers.com is the one in saint charles at o'fallon brewery. You can meet local brewers, try other homebrews, get critique on your homebrews, learn alot about brewing in general, and just get to talk about beer for several hours! What more could you ask for? If your out this way, definitely come out to garagebrewers meet, I think its next tuesday or the following. Some good people! Talk to you soon, hope to see you around!

Welcome!

Where do you like to go to drink good beer in St. Louis? I'm in central IL and will be making my way to St. Louis this summer.

Chapa: I actually do live in St. Charles, right next to the Embassy Suites/Convention Center on I-70. I'll see about maybe some of those meetings sometime this summer. Right now, Tuesday nights don't work for me. Cool beans.

Burgeouisbee: I like to go to Shlafly's Tap Room downtown, and here in St. Charles, there's a microbrewery called Trailhead that isn't half bad, and great happy hour specials.

Also look for Square One Brewery, they are decent, and Six Row Brewing is pretty good too. Ferguson Brewery isn't really in the city, so may be more of a commute, but its a REALLY good one as well!
