Hey everyone, greetings from Napa. I've been lurking about for quite sometime and posted my first post yesterday - thanks for the replies as it really helped out. Anyway, I'm into brewing after about 12 years and am having a blast. Back then, a buddy of mine and I were doing all grain and had some great beers. Over time, the equipment went away as he moved away etc.. you know how it goes. So 12 years later, married, kids, career, etc... we're back at it and doing partial mashes. We brew in the garage but I'm in the process of setting up the garage for all grain brewing and allocating the funds for a larger pot and mash tun, yada yada. My buddy and I brew about 1-2 times a month and the neighborhood favorites seem to be our wheat, IPA, pale, and amber so that is pretty much what we're having fun with.
Kinda funny - living up in these parts, when the subject comes up of making beer it's funny finding out how many people make wine and offer to trade. Seems fair to me. Perhaps givs creedence to the saying "It takes alot of great beer to make good wine".
Later everyone!
Mikey
