Hi there,

Long time sorta lurker - every time I've Googled a question about brewing, I've been brought to this forum for the answer, so I thought it was high time I joined up and did things properly :mug:

I've been brewing for a couple of years, and I suspect like most folks, I started out with the usual 40-pint extract kits and a starter kit. But with space restrictions in my place being what they are at the moment, I've taken to producing 1 gallon batches of all grain stuff - started out with a Brooklyn Brew Shop Everyday IPA starter kit, had a nose through their Beer Making Book, and have used that as a jumping off point for some ideas of my own.

Most recently, I've put together a red IPA with Simcoe, Mosaic and Cascade, which ended at 7.2% and smells like someone bombed a hop farm!

Now I've really got into grain brewing, I can't see myself going back to extracts - seems like cheating somehow. Although if I ever want to do a big batch again, I'm not sure there's much alternative with the space I've got.

Anyway, good to be here - looking forward to learning lots and contributing where I can :mug:
