Hi,

I recently added 2 quarts of wort with a gravity of 1.32 (1 lb DME and 1/2 lb table sugar) to my primary, 5 gallons. The og of the primary was 1.066 but at the time of the addition the gravity was 1.010. I'm trying to figure out how to calculate the effective og for the purposes of abv when fermentation is finished. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey man.

I used the dilute wort with wort calculator in Promash, and it said that you ended up with 5.5 gallons of 1.090. Probably close. Never steered me wrong before. Hope it helps.

Thanks, man, i appreciate it! I'll have to look into promash. I must have tried searching for everything but "wort calculator" ... Looking too hard and i overlooked the obvious.
