Opened it up and mocked up what will be my MLT. Turns into a very thick and sturdy 1-1 1/2" diameter Braided line. Any reason it wouldn't work (safety wise)?

Something you can look for if you are having a hard time finding the right braided hose. May be cheaper even...

Since it is tinned copper, I would think it inferior to the SS braid. I don't know if Is want something bathed in solder soaking in the wort.

I believe this is Stainless Steel. What I have is from work, they order from Grainger and McMaster Carr. They both show their Ribbon is not tin plated.

Do you know of any way I can test this to be sure? Magnet?

I may as well just play it safe and use true stainless braid from a hose.
