Yep I did :ban:. It was being used at my work for dispensing water for something( I bleached it twice rinsed three times then sanitized I hope its clean). Its in great condition and is nice and shiny. It came with a level sensor in it. just a long metal rode running to the bottom with a float able piece of plastic around it. And has what looks like an large headphone plug for the sensing unit. Question number one. Can i hook this up and use it. Question number two. If i can use it will it effect the carbonation by having nucleation sights on the bobber thing. Question number three. If i take out the sensor replace with a carb. stone can i transfer beer under pressure to another keg?

I don't have an answer for you, but you should not bleach stainless steel. It can cause it to pit. For future cleaning use something like PBW or Oxyclean for a cleaning product.

+1 more for not using bleach on Stainless.

Does it have 2 posts and the level sensor? Not sure about the float thingy, but if it were me, I'd find a way to make it detect when the keg reaches a "low" level. Sort of a running out of beer alarm!

Add me to the no bleach on stainless bandwagon.

Can you post a pic of the float setup? I've never seen one with that type of contraption.

I'd assume that it is for a low level indicator, since you can't see inside the keg when dispensing. As far as affecting carbonation, I don't think it would make a difference since your beer will always be under pressure. I'd figure out a way to sanitize it before using it though. Is it porous? That would be a major concern.

Its not porous a few dimples but that's it. I can't post a pic right now but can try later. It looks like a out dip tube with a stopper on it. So is this a no on carbing with a stone and transfering to another keged while still carbed?

Yeah a pic would be good. And I'll also throw in my +1 to not using bleach with stainless steel.

Here's my two cents, though: you don't need a carb stone in a 5 gallon corny as setting the PSI to 25-30 for 2 or 3 days always gives me a nicely carbonated beer. Also, you don't need the stone to push beer to another keg. All you need in your CO2 tank, two kegs (one full and carbed, the other empty) and beer line with beer out attachments one either end ("jumper cable".) Hook up the jumper to each "Beer Out" tower, turn the gas on and watch as your beer magically transfers to the empty keg. Make sure to bleed the gas off the empty one to relieve pressure and allow the flow of liquid.

The keg I got has three ports one in one out and the liquid level. Id like to do the carb stone on the liquid level port. Mainly cuz im impatient. Does anyone have experiance with this?
Thanx for all the help. I have put away the bleach. Lol

Someone here posted a picture awhile back of a keg with one of these sensors.

As far as the bleach, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Clean it from now on with Oxyclean or the like and if you use a diluted amount of bleach as a sanitizer, you shouldn't experience any terrible damage due to pitting. Agreed stainless and bleach aren't the greatest combination, but it isn't one of those things that you need to freak out over.
