OK...doing a 1 gallon extract kit of Dead Ringer IPA from NorthernBrewer...and since I've never done it, and want to see the results for myself...I'm going to do the fermentation in my bottling bucket...

I KNOW there will be lot's of extra air space, but fermentation should take care of that.

I KNOW I may draw some gunk off the bottom when I bottle, but maybe being a 1 gallon batch it won't be much of an issue...

OK...I'm hard-headed and am going to do it this way...anybody ever do this?

GT

ps...my biggest worry...only doing one gallon of the IPA...

I think most of the gunk will be above the bottle valve so it shouldn't be too bad. Let us know how it goes.

If you want for the future you can pick up 2 gal. buckets from HD. I take the covers down to my LHBS and he drills the hole for me no cost.
