I have done roughly a dozen 5 gallon AG batches, and want to step up to 10 gallon batches. I have a coleman extreme 52qrt, has anyone tried to use this cooler for 10 gallon batches? Doing some quick spargepal calculations that would be 6.5 gallons for 20lbs of grain.....

I haven't used that particular cooler, but I have a 10 gallon round igloo cooler that I could easily do 10 gallon batches in, with a max of about 24# of grain. Based on that, yours should work easily.

Thank you for posting this information I'm about to buy the same thing for 10 gallon batches. There are big beer batches that could exceed 24 lbs. wouldn't you agree?
