Goin on my honeymoon to France Germany and Italy. Gonna drink a whole mess of beer and wine when I'm there. Just wanted to share that.
If there's any cant miss things (or beers) u know of in those countries, let me know.

You know how they like to mix stuff in their beer there? Radlers, Cola-bier, etc? Try a good Bananenweizen. 2/3 hefe, 1/3 banana juice. Got a 0.5L, took a sip, figured I could knock back 3-4 if we weren't driving - I'm not a quantity drinker, but almost gave my preggo wife the stink-eye for drinking too much of it with her sip. Haven't been able to replicate this in the states, need a source of actual banana juice. Anyway, give that a try.

The wine is great, as is German brandy.

The cheese schnitzel is killer.

Where are you going in Italy? May i can help you!

Where in each country?
I've only been to Munich. Hoffbrau is slightly touristy but still good.

Augustinerbrau has great food and beer of course.

I have traveled extensively in France so I can say that they have great cider in the north west and the closer you are to Belgium or Germany, the better the beer. Wine gets better as you head towards Italy and Spain.
As far as beer goes, stick to the local stuff. Nothing national (1664, belle brasseuse) is worth your time.

@brauhund- won't be in Germany til mid may! But the spring fest sounds awesome. I was reading about it in my travel books!

@nico93 Rome, Naples, all over Tuscany region, Bologna and Venice.
