Well i havent brewed in like 2-3 months it seems, its been soo hot this summer and have been kinda busy visiting family and stuff but its finally starting to cool off (90 vs 95 with 105 heat index) so i have been cleaning out the garage getting the brewing gear in order searching craigslist for any new finds.

Just made a list of supplys i need and want. Major supplys i just checked my plastic buckets and one is all scratched up on the bottom and the other has cracks around the edges on the very bottom so i need two new buckets. also i want another carboy. plastic tubing and a varity of other small odds and ends.

i found another turkey cooker on craigslist WITH a propane tank tonite for 60$ so im going to pick that up and i found a lady selling a henikien keg for $10. she said it was "very large" so i emailed her about it waiting back from her if its a full size keg im going to pick it up and turn it into a keggle!

Im starting to get pretty stoked about making beer again, i have 1 keg i need to rebuild and im going to turn my current kereezer in to one with a collar instead of my current set up. seems like it will be much easier to add taps vs' the current set up with a tower. I have 3 shirron two town faucets i need to put to use! I have also been searching for a small fridge to make an "in house kegorator" since the wife makes me keep my current monster in the garage.

I think my first brew this "season" is going to be a holiday porter then maybe another SN pale ale clone.:mug: :mug:

I'm in the same position - my summer was crazy busy, I moved apartments, I had odd jobs out of town, and essentially all the free time I thought I'd have, I didn't. Plus it was blazing hot here. I've just received ingredients in the mail for an organic competition I'm going to enter, I have a new better bottle, a stir plate in the mail, and an empty kegerator...

I think some apfelwein is in the works as well.

I feel your pain, and understand your excitement -

kvh.
