gas or electric?

Ok, i'm tryin to figure out what I want to build as my first system. Does anybody have specs and comparisons for gas burners and electric heat sticks and such?

Can you be more specific in your question? Are you looking for cost of the energy, or do you mean what options are people using for each? There are many solutions.

Easy, electric. I can brew a whole session, HERMS HEX heating, strike water heating, mash, mashout, sparge, 90 minute boil... for less than $1.20

With gas it would cost me $6 or so per session.
