does it bother anyone else when people refer to non bmc as ales? like no other breakdown at all.

like this one guy posted "Oh I've been havin this problem blablabla every batch I make blabla"

so people asked, ok what did you make what kinds of beers, recipes, so we can see what's up

he answers "I made all ales so far"

I don't know about y'all but it gets to me.

Yeah, get's me too. I don't know about fittings yet. Got a long way to go with this project. My pump came in today!

I'M thinking about leaving my 5lb tank outside my freezer for some more space. Plus that way when I get a 20 lb I can replace it easier.

Thoughts?

Also if you see a 20 pounder for less than 50 empty holler!

Where do you get theses filled? No one in Ocala fills them anymore, you just have to swap them out. I lost my 5 pound new aluminum to a trade in and don't want to lose the 10 (or is it 20) that way.

I've only made ales...............

I've only made ales...............

I think he means that they don't say what kind of ale they are making. Are they making a porter or a wit or pale ale, maybe a belgian variety or a wheat beer? Saying you are making an ale doesn't really help figure out the problem.

When people ask me what kind of ales I make, I usually say "regular," or "the kind with hops." Clears up the confusion instantly.

Hey- I heard that USA Pumps is doing another sale of the March 809 pump.

Ok, off the top of my head.

chinook, northern brewer, cascade, zues (columbus), hersbrucker hallertau, perle, sorachi ace, citra, williamette, czech saaz, ekg, magnum, ahtanum, cenntenial, glacier, simcoe, warrior, ....

that's all I can remember.

You guys should upgrade that old-and-busted website of yours to the-new-hotness. Where we can see what hops & malt you've got in stock that week. If ONLY there were a web designer among this group who'd give you a good deal.

OH WAIT. I'M A WEB DESIGNER. WHAT A COINCIDENCE. (cough cough)

That'll do! Looking for some Simcoe and Chinook and Centennial (I think) to dry hop my Maharaja IPA (how bout that, I didn't say "my ale") :rockin:

Calls for 4 ounces per 5 gallons of Simcoe, and 2 ounces of each of the other (8 total) I have it in pellets but am starting to wonder if that will be too much gunk in my trunk............

better gunk in your trunk (just don't rack the gunk) than sucked up wort from half a pound of dry hops. chris will tell ya.

successful day guys. Me, Chris, Alex, Joe and Ed brewed up 20 gallons. 10 Robust Porter and 10 ESB. overshot our gravities by 3 and 4 points respectively (so we either boiled off too much or went over 75%. **** calculating I'm tired.)

took like... 9 hours altogether. very worth it.

also got my ranco all nice and wired up on my fridge and opened my sliding glass door for the other carboy. hope the carboys are poppin tomorrow mornin.

Thanks for the ride home yesterday, Elmetal (I think that's what your forum handle is). I'll be the Fat Man Porter this afternoon and maybe, if there is time, my Mild as well.

Just spent 3 hours outside scrubbing all my equipment down. I got to start cleaning when I'm done with it. It's time for Stay Lazy Brewing to close it's doors for good.

Porter's kicking along nicely now.

wtf is up with this weather?

Seriously this weather is ridic.

Add me on facebook guys. I'm adding pics (see: one picture) of the work i've Been doing on the kegerator. I'm fixing to finish tomorrow
