Hello,
I'm new to the forum here at HomeBrewTalk and apologize if this has been previously discussed. Now, the question: has anyone turned a side by side fridge or any freezer/fridge combo into a fermentor that ferments ales on the fridge side and lagers on the freezer side? How has it worked for you? Any helpful advice you could impart would be greatly appreciated.

Just as a precursor, if you wonder why I need a fridge to ferment ales - well, it's because I live in South Florida and it drops below 76F only for about a month or two (if lucky) during winter . . . at night. Don't have the advantage of a nice, cool, "beer-fermenting" weather that some of you northerners enjoy almost all year :)

I'd imagine that you'd need two different temp controllers and a lot of splicing of wires, but I'm sure that it COULD be done.

Not sure if it has been done, however, so I'm curious to see if anyone has done that.
