The name of the forum should actually be "Hop Growing" (or "Growing Hops").

Don't worry; it's a common mistake.

If you want to get technical, there's actually a fair bit of lexical idiosyncrasy in how the nouns of transitive gerunds are marked for agreement (which, of course, is the case for all functionally shifted non-finite clauses). For example, though we don't tend to say "beets farming", we do say "sports casting" and "mice eating".

Out of you're 3 posts, to of them are trying two correct people's grammer or spelling. Dont worry, its a common misteak.

Actually, it looks like you've posted to the wrong forum. You should be complaining about other people's grammatical mistakes in a forum such as this: http://thegrammarexchange.infopop.cc/eve/forums

And just to get things back on track, my hops growing is off to a great start this season. The Cascades are exploding out of the ground thanks to this freakishly warm weather.

[i really just wanted to get in on this thread while the getting was good]

lol ok time for me to show my redneck illiterate roots. If the plant is HOPS why would i drop the s when refering to growing them? I know i did 3rd grade 6 times but I dont think they covered that there.
