Just took a sample of my Belgian Blonde and I forgot to spray down my wine thief with StarSan before pulling a sample. Has anyone done this? Hope it's not infected. This is my 2nd all grain and I hope I don't have to dump it.

I've never really spoken up on any of this before because I'm pretty new to this as well, but what I have found from seaching the site via google (put site:www.homebrewtalk.com in the search bar. It really does kick ass.) is that beer is not a delicate flower. It is a hearty beast and more difficult to screw up that new brewers think.

Let's face it. Monks have been brewing the stuff outdoors, uncovered, without starsan, for hundreds of years.

We've all done something like this and the beer has survived and do have we but, try not to get slack about sanitizing, it should really become the part of your process that just becomes second nature and never questioned.

Yeah. The sample tasted great. It was down to 1.014 from 1.064 and it probably has a couple more points to go.

You're gonna die.....

...someday but chances are its not a big deal.
