Niko, Yea that is exactly what I am talking about. It doesnt happen to me enough for me to say that the foodsaver sucks.

You know I think its just "one of those things" unfortunately. SOME of the packages we've shipped I've heard have lost their seal I think it may also be because some of the pellets are so large and sharp they can cut the bag itself. When we get our hops in we pack them in pounds and check them and within a day or so some just lose their seal, we reseal the same bag and if it happens again we switch bags. Sort of a pain but its worth it :) When we make up the per oz packs per order I check them the next morning before taping up the boxes before I go to work to make sure they're okay but it seems to mainly be the predone quart bags every once in a while.

They were a bit slow on the shipping for me. I ordered on Jan. 21st, got the UPS tracking number on the 26th and, they actually got it to UPS on Jan, 28. It's coming from Lenexa, Kansas and should be here tomorrow.

I can deal with a little slow shipping for a good deal though!

Just make sure to calculate the number of bags you get. I was at walmart and I don't remember the exact details but the price per package of the quart bags was less, BUT there were less bag, a little math on the cellphone calculator showed it was still cheaper to get the foodsaver bags there.. Of course this may not always be the case, but walmart does a great job of a perception of value, its there most of the time, but sometimes isn't.

i buy the rolls. find they are more efficient with the things i seal up. a dozen tamales wont fit in the premade bags.

those that got this coupon deal got a steal. the lock tab makes things so much better. allows you to lock it then start the vac. i have to try it and if it doesnt pull a seal i have to open and adjust. hard to get right so i make my bags about 2" longer then normal.

Yeah this was a steal.

I go to currentcodes.com for codes...

I'll keep an eye on there.. always looking for better deals on good quality vacuum seal bags. Not just the cut 'em yourself rolls but the pint, quart, and gallon bags.

I'm waiting to hear back from my application as an affiliate to foodsaver and I'll keep an eye on coupons there too and try to keep folks updated.

Large ammounts of hops are pretty sexy

Quite apparently they don't like hops and pilots.... Just my opinion though. ;)

Pol, their customer service rep told me their warehouse had a power outage last week so they're running behind. I ordered around the time you did and it should arrive Wednesday this week.

Hey thanks for checkin! I got some Cascades to seal up, some Hallertau yet to buy, Centennial, Tettnang... etc. Loading up on hops the coming two months before I start brewing again.
