I am looking for a flow control beer faucet adapter for a 650ss perlick faucet. Unfortunately the beer faucet adapter I have is too small and does not allow me to adjust the flow. I did find one that would work http://www.chicompany.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3343 , but I am not interested in paying a ridiculous amount for this item. Do anyone else know a provider of this same item but for cheaper?

Good luck on your quest. After becoming increasingly frustrated with foamy pours and super sticky taps I started researching and buying a number of different faucets both perlick and otherwise including a flow control stainless unit for $30 on ebay (which works very well actually but takes an oddball shank size) I have concluded that in the end, I should have just gone with the stainless intertap ones from williams brewing with flow control for $50 that have the optional interchangable stout adapter and growler filling adapter the shuttle design also seems to be an overall better design than the perlick and perlick clone I have.

Back on topic...

IMO ~$30 is not really a ridiculous amount to pay for something so very, very specific. I am curious, as it is not clear from the picture or description, how exactly does the faucet attach to it?

You realize you Implied that I went off topic to point out that there might be a better option overall then you yourself also offer your counterdicting opinions of pricing and ask how the item works rather than answer the question yourself?

The description states that it is a replacement shank that threads directly onto a ball or pinlock MFL adapter. The inside is tapered so when you actuate the lever on the tap a tapered steel cone moves in and out in the tapered opening and restricts flow.

Not try to be argumentative here I just pointed out the intertaps as an option because they are designed to be a cost effective system with reasonably priced adapters and components that are all interchangable
