Hey all, Im new to this and made my first batch recently. Half the batch was bottled in regular crown capped bottles and the other half in the EZ Cap Flip Top bottles.

I was unable to close the flip tops as the washers were too hard/wide, so I removed the washer and closed with just the top gasket......as you can imagine, a couple of weeks later, when I opened the bottles, the beer was flat! The capped bottles were carbonated and all good.

Are there smaller washers I can get? The ones that came with them are 1/8", but it impossible to close, far too tight. I dont really want to throw them all out either....

Any ideas? Or can I soften these washers somehow?
