Hi guys,
I wont to try a FWH in my next batch, but I didn't understand well how to do that in BIAB,
when I have to put the hops in the kettle? After the mesh out?
How long I have to leave the hops there? Until the water reach the boiling temp?
For the IBU I've to calculate like 25min boiling?

thanks

A.

After mashout, I raise my bag (locking pulley helps) to drain. At that point you can slip your hops into the wort and start the burner while the bag drains. I actually reserve some water for a thru-the-bag-over-the-BK sparge. I put my FWH hops in and start the burner when I start my sparge. By the time the sparge is done I'm just about at boiling temp. I leave them in for the whole boil. I use Beersmith and it calculates IBUs for FWH. FWH hops are essentially bittering hops for the entire boil. However, by putting them in before the boil starts it is supposed to give you a smoother bittering.
