So who's passing out the merit badges this week? ;)
Good Lord what a mess, thank God it was in the kegreezer!
So in my continual learning process...today I learned that controlled cooler temperatures doesn't stop an uber aggresive early fermentation.
Noted.
This is also the first brew that I added my own ingredients.
I took a Caribou Slobber recipe, added about 1/2 pound of carpils to the steeping grains...8 oz of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa and about 6 oz of pure unadulterated corn syrup.

I hope it turns out well....

I brewed it before also...apparently the added sugar/cocoa turns the party into an all-nighter!
This thing is acting like an imperial...with the blow-out tube on, every 4-5 inches is a "chunk" of foam moving along like a slow moving freight train.
And then every so often it makes a mad rush down the tube and the catch pitcher blows water out of the top.
Pretty exciting stuff....only I hope attenuation isn't affected.
